Itinerary

    • Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by a representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, a popular tourist hub with shops, restaurants, and trekking gear stores. If time permits, you may also visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) or Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening, you’ll receive a briefing about the trek and have a welcome dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant.

    • Early in the morning, you will take a scenic flight from Kathmandu (or Manthali) to Lukla, a gateway town for Everest trekkers. The 30-35 minute flight offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas before landing on the thrilling Lukla airstrip. After meeting your trekking crew, you begin your journey towards Phakding. The trail descends gradually through lush forests and traditional Sherpa villages, passing by mani stones and small stupas. After 3 to 4 hours of trekking, you reach Phakding, a picturesque village situated along the Dudh Koshi River, where you will stay overnight.

    • The trail continues along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several high-suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. As you trek, you’ll pass charming villages like Monjo, where you enter Sagarmatha National Park. The trek becomes challenging as you climb steep uphill sections leading to Namche Bazaar. After a long ascent, you reach Namche, the largest Sherpa town in the Everest region. Namche Bazaar is a lively town with bakeries, trekking shops, and breathtaking views of Everest and surrounding peaks.

    • To prevent altitude sickness, this day is reserved for acclimatization. A short hike to Everest View Hotel (12,730 ft.) offers stunning panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. You can also visit the Sherpa Culture Museum or explore the bustling Namche market. Acclimatization is essential as the air gets thinner with increasing altitude, helping your body adjust for the trek ahead.

    • Leaving Namche Bazaar, the trail follows a scenic route with incredible mountain views. You will descend towards Phunki Tenga, cross a suspension bridge, and then start a steep climb through rhododendron forests. After several hours of trekking, you arrive at Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest Buddhist monastery in the region. The monastery offers an incredible setting with a backdrop of Everest, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. In the evening, you can attend a peaceful prayer ceremony inside the monastery.

    • The trek continues through lush forests and across suspension bridges before reaching Pangboche, a beautiful Sherpa village. You will gradually gain altitude while following the Imja River Valley. As you approach Dingboche, the landscape transforms into alpine terrain with fewer trees and more rocky paths. Dingboche is a high-altitude settlement surrounded by towering peaks, offering mesmerizing views of Island Peak and Lhotse.

    • Another acclimatization day is necessary before heading to higher altitudes. You will take a short but steep hike to Nagarjun Hill (16,730 ft.), which provides incredible views of Makalu, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. This hike helps with altitude adaptation and allows you to enjoy the beautiful Himalayan scenery. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore Dingboche.

    • Today’s trek takes you through rugged landscapes and glacial moraines. The trail gradually ascends to Thukla Pass, where you will find memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest. After a steep climb, you reach Lobuche, a small settlement located at the foot of massive peaks. The air is thin, and the temperature drops significantly at this altitude, preparing you for the upcoming Everest Base Camp adventure.

    • One of the most exciting days of the trek! You start early and follow the rocky, glacier-covered trail towards Gorakshep, a small outpost near Everest Base Camp. After a short rest at Gorakshep, you continue your journey to the famous Everest Base Camp. Standing at the foot of the world’s highest mountain, you’ll witness the breathtaking Khumbu Icefall and colorful expedition tents. After spending some time taking photos and soaking in the experience, you trek back to Gorakshep for an overnight stay.

    • A pre-dawn hike to Kala Patthar offers the most stunning sunrise views of Everest and surrounding peaks. This is the highest point of your trek, and the panoramic view from here is truly unforgettable. After capturing the beautiful scenery, you descend back to Gorakshep for breakfast and then continue your trek downhill to Pheriche, a lower-altitude village known for its better sleep conditions.

The descent is easier, and as you drop to lower altitudes, breathing becomes more comfortable.
